Award THIS "Retention"!


So, Morgan Stanley chief will dispense bonuses he has renamed "Retention Awards" to a cadre of "talent" that has managed to wipe off one third of company assets worth $300 BILLION. Morgan Stanley got $10 billion from TARP funds.

"Morgan Stanley, which is aggressively building on its new status as a bank holding company, lost for the quarter ended Nov. 30, $3.61 billion, or $3.61 per share, and for the year-ago period, it took a $9.4 billion writedown on mortgage-related assets as the housing crisis began to spiral downward.

As a result, Morgan Stanley's total assets are down by more than a third so far this year to $658 billion, the company said Wednesday."
