Beautiful...he looks like he is bucking in front of a fire...a perfect blend of the 'silver' and 'gold.'
I don't know how you do these but the details are amazing.

skinny, if you learn to draw, you own the world. It is all about drawing correctly.

Do you ride horses?

Enemy, I used to ride horses stictly as a weekend rider. My grandmother had Anglo-arabians. One day the city grew around her small farm and swallowed it. She gave the horses away to my cousin who took them who knows where.
More than a horse lover I was a horse admirer.

I like the reddish highlights here, I wonder if there is a way to deepen the colour(s)/contrast?

I tell people anyone can learn to draw, but then they are quick to point out my absolute lack of singing ability.... alas.

LOL, Piktor...that contradicts what my mother taught us...she always said 'There's no wrong way or right way to create artwork. If you draw someone and their nose is twice as long as their legs...then that's the beauty of creating art.' I think that was her form of positive re-enforcement. My two sisters are artists, not me. But ironically enough, yesterday in all of gallavanting about, I picked up a canvas & several tubes of paint. I painted the background, lol, but then fell asleep.

yes, I personally believe in colouring OUTSIDE the lines, and have told my children to basically ignore what every art teacher has told them so far. there are 'techniques', but I still find myself trying to break out of the box of 'correctness' that was hammered around me by many of my teachers that I tried to please.... but I have digressed terribly from your art, I am sorry!
