This is a line engraving on copper plate. Each little line and dot has to be engraved individually, one at a time with a cutting tool called a burin. Not fun to do if you are not completely crazy and plan to spend 150 hours or more on such a small surface. The result may come out flat when you print the result of your love's labor.

but did it?

and it is Art in its own right.

150hours on such detail would make ME crazy - glad you are(?) still sane.
